I have made harnesses for children as young as 7 months and seniors with dementia as old as 92. In general though, about half my customers are toddlers with an average age of 15 months, and the other half are older children aged 6+ with special needs such as Autism, ADHD and Down syndrome. Child-to-Adult Harness for larger toddlers or someone with Special Needs

If you have a taller or larger toddler on your hands who is rather strong for their tender years, then the Child-to-Adult Harness is the harness you need. The 2 chest straps of this design make this harness the ideal fit for larger bodies. And if you have a child with special needs; someone on the Autism spectrum, diagnosed with ADHD, Down Syndrome or a variety of other neurologic disorders that inhibit their judgement or behaviour, my Child-to-Adult Harness is the harness they need. This design is extremely secure yet comfortable to wear all day every day so you can travel to school and appointments safely.

Safety Harness to use with an Autism Dog
If you have, or are getting, an autism dog for your child, you may need a safety harness to keep the two of them together. My Safety Harness to use with an autism dog has the added feature of a front lead that extends from the harness your child wears to the dog's collar.
- 2 chest strap design with an O-ring at the front of the harness
- 4, 5, or 6 foot front lead (you decide) with a snap hook at the end that attaches to your child's dog
- your child can "walk" their companion while being secured to the dog
- parent lead at the back of the harness keeps everyone together

Accessories to add Safety and Security
All my harnesses buckle at the child's back. However, some children are able to reach behind and try to undo the buckles in an attempt to remove the harness. If this sounds like something your child would try, you can increase the security of your harness with any or all of the following Accessories:
- an extra buckle can be added to the harness and the lead so the Lead can be Used as a Tie-Down. Wrap the lead around the back of the chair and buckle them in to keep them seated.
- order a Permanent Handle at the back of your Child-to-Adult Harness to keep your child right at your side when walking short distances or in crowded locations.
- Buckle Covers prevent the back buckle from sliding open if the person reaches behind and attempts to remove the harness. Buckle covers fit over my regular buckles or my locking buckles.
- your harness can be made with Locking Buckles instead of regular buckles to stump the most determined escape artist. These buckles need 2 hands to open. Add buckle covers for maximum security.
- a Chair/Stroller Strap Attachment can be used with the harness to keep your child seated in their chair. This extra strap is excellent for using with a number of different chairs in your home and community.
- a Crotch Strap can be added to my Child-to-Adult Harness to further increase security.
